6. A letter to... Estelle

hmm the first time i know estelle (or sister estelle as what we would call her at that time ) was my first time doing zone duty for delta terrace. I was (and still am) very intimidated by usher duty... and i could remember that time when i did the duty i was really stiff... i try to stay alert as much as i could... so much so... that during PnW, i was still standing there looking around and not worshipping God... until Sister Estelle came by and saw me looking so stiff.. and then she said, " hey... eer... don't so stiff la... do duty also can worship God one... " then i started to lift up my hands and sing praises to God...

from that time on, i can understand why many people say that estelle is really a woman who cares for everyone around her... she is the first usher who gave me a call and asked me how i was... and not calling me asking me whether i can make it for duty next week... or whether my particulars are correct... or whether i m free for prayer meeting cos' they need people to be ushers on that day. that amazes me... cos' her attitude toward people really changed my perception on how usher leaders work... i used to think that usher leaders are too engrossed with their duty to even care for their fellow junior ushers... but her example really proved me wrong...

estelle, thank you for the times when you care for the team. thank you for the sacrifices you have made to the section. i really appreciate your presence in the team. you showed me a brighter side to ministry... that it is not impossible to serve and serve happily. thank you sister.
