WELCOME HOME
BRIAN LITTRELL

When I left home to be who I am
Some people said "No Way"
But I laid it all down, gave everything
In my head rang the words that my father said

You're never far
I will be where you are
and when you come to me
I will open my arms

Welcome Home, you
I know you by name
How do you do?
I shine because of you today
So come and sit down
Tell me how you are
I know son, it's good just to see your face.

When I look at you holding my heart
I will give to you all that I have
Son I know there'll be times
You will feel all alone
I will share with you the words my father said

You're never far
I will be where you are
and when you come to me
You can bet I will open my arms

Welcome Home, you
I know you by name
How do you do?
I shine because of you today
So come and sit down
Tell me how you are
I know son, it's good just to see your face

Said I've been waiting for that day
Just to feel your warm embrace
Your love has shown
I will never be alone
You will welcome me home

I'll forever be
For you will say to me

Welcome Home, you
I know you by name
How do you do?
I shine because of you today
So come and sit down
Tell me how you are
I know son, it's good just to see your face

When I left home to be who I am
Some people said "No Way"

2. A letter to ... My Mom

"Aiyah... how come you never wash your dishes?!"

"You ar... everytime forget to turn off the fan before you leave home..."

Those are the common shouts at the home whenever i am around. not because she likes it... but cos' she does it for my good... she's my earthly discipler... my mom...

she's always around, making sure the things at home are in order (even when i always make it in chaos...), she may not say the three words "I love you", her emotions, her intentions, her facial expressions show it all... she cares for my family, and one of her best ways to do so is by cooking a good meal every night for us. and i must say this.... my mom is the best cook. i can go to the best restaurant in singapore, but i will not enjoy the food there as much as the times when we sit down for a good time of dinner on the dining room table.

a good talk with my mom over breakfast lightens my day. she often shares about her burdens... her concerns... and most of all... her desires for my sister and i... she loves seeing us go to church, she loves seeing us being the person that God has intended us to be. she loves looking back and in some sense, thanking goodness that my sister and i have gone so far in our walk in this life.

it seems as though my mom has always wanted to know what we do in church every week. it seems as though my mom has always wanted to see how we behave and wat exactly we do in the house of God. it seems as though... mommy wants to be part of us someday. and i really hope she will...

mommy. i just wanna say... i love you with the love of the Lord. Your sacrifices to this family... like leaving your job just to take care of me after i was born in this earth, taught me to sacrifice to the lives of others as well. thank you for being a role model. Daddy and you have really made me who I am, because of your living example.

Tim.
