echoing what elaine said about my dad...


my dad is one person who doesn't shower expensive gifts on his children to show his love for them. his love is not demonstrated by how much he gave. his love is demonstrated by how much he sacrificed just so that he could give. some examples:

• i went to canada in 2005 with my dad paying my air fare and most of my living expenses during my 3 week stay. According to my mom, my dad scrimped and gathered all the resources he can to pay for my trip. We were barely surviving financially at home that time.
• very often my father has to reach his workplace early. there were times when he has to be late so that my sister could take a lift to her school on my dad's car.
