Was reading vincent's blog... and i was really reminded of my times in bmt... those were the toughest parts of my army life... together with my days in SISPEC. It was really those times when you can see the grace of God upon my life. Thank God for pulling me through. I remembered vividly the days when I was more than just physically drained. I was emotionally dry, and all I could think of was... "how many more days to book out day..." I remembered having to be ridiculed by my sergeants just because I have the same name as someone else they know who loves to chao keng and because I looked like him... i remembered the spiritual barrenness inside of me because of my limited capabilities to do anything for God in the camp. Even though our predecessors who went through the rite of passage may say that life is not as tough as it used to be, it still is a trying period for the many people who have family commitments, relationship commitments, and especially those who simply wanted to go to church on sunday and enjoy fellowship with their church members, when they realise it's late afternoon and they have to rush home to prepare to book in back to their camps. Only those who have been through it will know that the one who "steals, kills and destroy" often aims to steal the passion from those who love God, kill the Christian's fervency for people and the lost, and destroy their faith in God, during this test, a 2 year long test...Linkage
